The Tadpoles

Two of the unique and amazing structures that astronomers sometimes find in space. These structures are likely clumps of dust and gas and may form new stars in them. Hydrogen alpha image constructed from four hours of data in 10 minute increments. Taken through a six inch Orion Ritchey Chretien at f/9 with an SBIG-ST8XME and AO-8 adaptive optics unit.
